NCC OTA Commandant reviews Passing Out Parade in Kamptee

Around 303 volunteer-teachers and assistant professors of schools and colleges across the country were today commissioned as Associated NCC officers in National Cadet Corps at Kamptee cantonment, about 15 kms from here.

Commandant Major General N S Rao was the Chief Guest at the impressive Passing Out Parade at NCC Officers Training Academy (OTA) at Kamptee.


The deserving academicians, trained as perspective Associated NCC Officers, displayed their marching skills, to the tune of 'Sare Jahan se Achha Hindostan Hamara', rendered by the Band of the Guards Regimental Centre.

The Reviewing Officer congratulated the officer cadets for successfully completing the tough training.

He reminded them of their primary responsibility to achieve aims and objectives of NCC.

Rao exhorted them to prepare NCC cadets to take their rightful place as leaders and patriotic citizens in all walks of life including the Armed Forces.

Associate NCC Officers are important members of NCC, entrusted with the responsibility to create awareness and development of nationalism amongst the NCC cadets towards maturing into conscientious citizens, a release from Defence PRO said today.
