ANOs and cadets of NCC are authorised canteen facility (only grocery) while they are on the strength of NCC vide Army HQ letter No.70846/Q/CAN/Vol - III dt 27 June 1966 as amended and Army HQ letter No. A/66622/111/Q/CAN/ dt 03 April 1973.
The canteens of NCC have been established primarily for this purpose as Unit Retail Canteens (URC) and they are not established as ESM Canteen as widely perceived.

Sir, I have retired from NCC,ANO after completing 56 years. I have canteen card, can I avail canteen facilities after retirement.
