As per Section 3 of Indian Tolls (Army and Air Force) Act 2001, the following Defence Persons and property are exempted from payment of users fee :
(d) all authorised folowers of -
(i) the regular forces
(ii) the territorial army or the National Cadet Corps
(iii) any irregular corps

Dear officers, I want to share the problems faced by JD ANOs in enrolling JD Cadets. As per the NCC Act, students who have completed 13 years only eligible to be enrolled in NCC. At this age they will be studying in 9th Std. In the second year they will be in 10th std. that is they will be appearing for public examination. So it is difficult for the 10th std students to participate in IGC and RDC camps. In Tamilnadu Directorate we are facing lot problems regarding this age factor. When the Act was introduced there was 11 + 1 + 3 system of Education. So this issue is to be brought to the knowledge of DG NCC and necessary amendments to be brought in NCC Act. ------ F/O V.RAJARAM, PUDUCHERRY NCC GROUP, TAMIL NADU DIRECTORATE.
ReplyDeleteThe age limit to enroll cadets for JC NCC is to be reduced to 12 years. Then only the cadets who are studying in 8th std can be enrolled and in the second year they will be in 9th std, it is easy for them to attend IGC and RDC camps.
